Join Gwen Merrick & Melanie Tapson for an interactive and experiential workshop
where you'll gain tools you can use to calibrate YOU, the most important tool in your toolbox, to help you provide the most ethical care, achieve the best therapeutic outcomes, and prevent burnout!
Why this workshop? Why now?
As speech-language pathologists, we're held to high clinical and ethical standards. We strive to deliver the best possible care and help our clients crush their communication goals with enthusiasm and passion. We fill up on research so we are up on the latest in evidence based practice, we continually grow our clinical toolkits, and we maintain our equipment to meet college requirements - and our own stringent standards.
But it's all too easy during our busy days and weeks to forget that the most important tool that needs calibrating is US!
Join Gwen and Melanie, two Canadian SLPs who are keen to help you help others. Together we will practice tools to resource ourselves and our clients. You will gain superpowers in:
- building strong therapeutic alliances
- empowering clients to become their own clinicians
- fostering client independence and autonomy
- creating more efficient treatment plans
- achieving more effective outcomes
- increasing satisfaction - in both your client AND in yourself
AND
- prevent burnout - no more crying in your car!!!
You'll also earn 1 continuing education hour (AND you can use this for your ASHA Ethics and/or DEI requirement, too!) and a certificate to document your participation - come crush some CE with us!
all proceeds will go to the Red Door Family Shelter to assist refugees and women who are fleeing violence
